When is it too old to drive a car!

Jumping on my soapbox, knowing that we lack public transportation to support the growing numbers of over 65 drivers makes it hard on them here in FL! Granted.. however how many deaths, cars running into stores and homes does it take to take the steps to put a stop to this. I am not trying to sound mean however 60% of the fatalities involving motorcycles are caused by over 60 drivers and how I know this is that AAA reported it... just…

The Bikers Creed

I ride purely, and only, because I want to.

I ride because I enjoy the freedom. I love the feels and smells of being exposed to the elements, and the vulnerability to the dangers that are inherent to riding.

I do not ride because it is fashionable to do so.

I ride my machine, not wear it. My machine is not a symbol of status. It exists simply for me and me alone. My machine is not a toy. It is an extension of my being, and I will treat it accordingly, with the same…

This is SOOO very true

THE MAYONNAISE JAR AND COFFEE

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours

in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the coffee....

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in

front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very

large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it…

MyThoughts

A conglomeration of thoughts. Thoughts of individuals I've met, places I've been and things that have happened in and around me. At times it seems insane. It's either cry, laugh or both. I myself prefer both When people ask you why you're smiling, you know that's a good thing! Let life occur as it should and things just seem to happen. I'ts the way it should be right now. As the saying goes "Life is a journey, not a destination!" So, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. You might just like…

WILL THE USA SURVIVE?

The folks, who are getting the free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now ... the people who are forcing the people who pay for the…

Muslim Brotherhood Warns U.S.

GET PREPARED!

This morning the Muslim Brotherhood warned the United States that if the United States continued meddling in Egypt, Libya, and other potential hot spots in the middle east, they intend to cut off America 's supply of 7-11 and Motel 6 managers.

If this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will be next, followed by Dell, AT&T and AOL customer service reps.

Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened not to send us any more presidents…

We Didn't Have the "Green Thing" Back in Our Day.

In From Judy Hirsch;

Ed and I were checking out at the grocery store recently and the young cashier suggested I should bring my own grocery bags because plastic bags weren't good for the environment.

I apologized and explained, "We didn't have this green thing back in my earlier days."

The clerk responded, "That's our problem today. Your generation did not care enough to save our environment for future generations." She was right about one…

Taking on City Hall Part TWO TRUE STORY!

On Oct 2 I went to a city cruise in  on the square where one of the hotrodders I didn't know and who had a white patch on his cheek, said, "I want nothing to do with your run."

I asked "Did you have a problem ?"

"I SAW YOU AT THE FLEA MKT IN FLORIDA!"

Well after processing that thought and knew I had not been to a flea mkt in FLorida in 16 years I knew he was mistaken. Then I thought maybe he was at Webster last year when I did my book signing, so I said Webster?…

Taking on City Hall

For the past 16 years I have organized and hosted the Hwy 41 Toy Convoy which we had opened to all vehicles.  I was with Hwy 41 ABATE in Coffee Co. Tn when we created this convoy.  My reason for asking all vehicles was I remembered the time I didn't have a motorcycle and would stand on the corner and watch bikers go by for one thing or other and the only reason I wasn't with them..I didn't have a motorcycle.

I thought about the folks who would help if they could so we invited…

Webster Monthly Swap Meet & Show 01/01/12

Hey Biker Valley friends...........

The show started out foggy as London early, but once the sun burned it off it was in the 70's and very comfortable.

A bit late starting, but I suspect there was a some New Years Eve partying which probably caused  a lot of late sleeping! LOL!

We had a full vendor field and the vendors brought in some really cool things to check out and buy.

The show had lots of great cars and bikes and as I have said before, I don't know…

BV Radio Adopted a Soldier - Say Hello to Him

Biker Valley Radio has adopted a soldier through Soldier's Angels. There was a verification process we had to go through in order to get the contact information for the soldier, and due to the terms and conditions of the organization, we can't put a lot of information up here. The organization stresses keeping the soldier and family safe.

SPC Maurice Boykin was assigned to us. He's serving in Afghanistan in a Transportation…
